The appointment underscores Trump’s pledge to tighten immigration policies and expedite deportations, key elements of his 2024 campaign platform.

A Familiar Figure with a Firm Stance

Tom Homan, a career law enforcement officer and a prominent figure during Trump’s first administration, is well-known for his outspoken defense of stringent immigration measures. Despite his temporary role, Homan’s impact was substantial, characterized by his vocal support of increased arrests and deportations.
